Karys: We wanted a unique name that started with "K" for a variety of reasons - she carries on her Daddy's initials; our great friend Wendy, instead of a middle name, has the initial "K"; and for a friend Karen, that was lost much too early.
Amelia: Lisa's grandmother Emelia (Gobby) who at 92 is one of the strongest women we know - living in southern Vermont, still shoveling her own driveway, planting a huge garden and sending us homemade cookies just because. We were lucky enough to have her make Karys the same baby blanket as the one she made Lisa when she was born. We also changed the spelling to continue the Monty family tradition of having middle names that begin with the letter "A".
